The conversations that we are having as women are changing with such velocity. We are seeing in bold relief — even in our highest offices of government — how consistently overlooked, ignored, undervalued, and disparaged the experience of Woman has been and is still, in this patriarchal world.
It is time for women to power up, as never before.
My life’s work has been about creating this very pathway for women: the missing pathway out of cultural powerlessness and into our own inherent radiance. A pathway that does not depend on anything or anyone, but rather places the power firmly in a woman’s own hands. When she designs, and then lives, her own destiny, a woman naturally sets right everything wrong. But the first step is the most crucial — she has to turn on the most disparaged, maligned, and unknown part of herself.
This is why I wrote Pussy: A Reclamation.
There is an amazing group who reached out to me after saying yes to this conversation in a bold and magnificent way. Katie, Lindsey, Melody, Eve, Sugar, Tamiko, Jade, and Crystal read Pussy: A Reclamation and decided to join forces … and start a podcast dedicated to the message of the book!
ClitTalk — that name! — is their “pleasure positive podcast” and when they asked to interview me, I had to say yes.
Here’s how they describe our episode together: “Regena Thomashauer, known lovingly at her School of Womanly Arts as “Mama Gena,” blesses us up with stories from the front lines of pussy liberation, her thoughts on gender harmony, next steps for the #MeToo Movement, pussy flashing in Ancient Egypt, being roadkill of the patriarchal world culture, unlocking Extended Massive Orgasm, and pleasure as the greatest source of our power. Her wisdom on the topic is endless, and she is a sheer pleasure to listen to.”
I loved being interviewed by them. I hope you will enjoy listening (put your earbuds in if you’re at work) – click here for the podcast.
Love,
Regena Thomashauer, aka “Mama Gena”
