Come meet my heroine – Leymah Gbowee!

We all have our heroines, right?
Women we are just longing to meet because they inspire us so deeply.
Women whose stories breathe life into us, in some remarkable way.

Next week, I will have the honor, the privilege, the over-the-top, dream-come-true pleasure of meeting Leymah Gbowee – one of my personal heroines.

This woman is the definition of embodied feminine leadership. It was her activism that brought an end to the second Liberian Civil War in 2003, earning her a Nobel Peace Prize in 2011. Together with the support and trust of women from many different religions, she organized a mass movement in her home country, demonstrating the ways that social cohesion, organized resistance, and relationship-building can transform political unrest and social turmoil into peace.

She stood for sisterhood, and in so doing, changed the world.

I am so over the moon excited to introduce Leymah to this community, so you can be inspired, moved, and forever changed by this woman’s stand for herself, and her country.

To learn more about Leymah and her work in the world, stay tuned for our exclusive interview, which goes live on Monday, March 22nd! We’ll send an email straight to your inbox with a link to enjoy our conversation.

There will also be an opportunity to take part in a fundraising campaign for the Gbowee Peace Foundation called “Dollar for Peace”, which provides greater access to education for women and girls in Liberia through a comprehensive program of scholarships, mentoring, internships, and community-building activities. More details on how to get involved and provide your financial support are coming down the pike next Monday!

Want more ways to celebrate sisterhood this month?

Next Tuesday, March 23rd, I’ll be hosting the next installment in my Sisterhood Series – a community-wide Q&A that takes place once monthly, and is totally free to attend. Bring your burning questions, and get ready to amp up your SG activism!

We’ll cover lots of topics, including my interview with Leymah, a discussion about her leadership, and how to further support her peace movement – plus all the dance breaks and goddessly connection you’ve come to expect on our Sisterhood Series calls!

To join our next Sisterhood Series session on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 from 2:30 – 3:30 pm EST, please head HERE to submit your RSVP and all the details will be sent your way!

What an exciting time to be a turned-on woman in the world, right?!

You won’t want to miss out on these offerings, so mark your calendar for Monday, the 22nd, when my interview with Leymah is made available, and while you’re at it, save the date for the Sisterhood Series, where we’ll take it all higher in community. Can’t wait to see you soon!

With so much love and pleasure,

P.S. If you know a woman who could use a boost, use some connection to her feminine, please share this blog with her, or have her join our mailing list (scroll down the page till you see a heading that says “Put Yourself On the List”). There’s lots of fun happening on our Instagram and Facebook accounts, too!!
