Mama Gena teaches eight Womanly Arts in Bootcamp. Each one of these Arts will be the focus of a weekly, 60-minute Training Call held on Mondays at noon ET / 9 a.m. PT.

The format of the call will include:

  • Five minutes to welcome and frame the call.
  • 25 minutes for Mama Gena to teach the Art of the week (What is it?, How do you do it?, etc.).
  • 25 minutes of student Q&A specific to the Art of the week.
  • During the final five minutes of the call, students are encouraged to share their Favorite Frames (i.e. what you saw, noticed, and got from the call).

Each Training Call is recorded.

If you miss a live Training Call, you can find the recording in the “Recordings” folder in the Files tab on the VPBC 2021 Facebook Group within 24 hours.  We’ll also send every recording of our Monday calls via email the same evening!

Learning the Arts and using the Tools will impact your entire personhood, meaning you will experience changes in your emotional landscape, the way you think – in your mind and in your body. Be sure to take extra care of yourself during these eight weeks. Drink water, rest, eat healthy foods, exercise, and respect that change occurs on all levels: body, mind, and soul.

Ask a Pleasure Revolutionary

Weekly Q&A Support on Facebook Page
Thursday 8 a.m. ET - Friday 6 p.m ET

This special opportunity kicks off on Thursday, March 11th and will be offered weekly for all eight weeks of the program. You will have the chance to ask one question on Thursday or Friday, and receive a response from our team of handpicked, seasoned Sister Goddesses.

To have your questions answered, simply go to the Virtual Pleasure Bootcamp 2021 Facebook Group and every Thursday from 8 a.m. through Friday 6 p.m. ET, you’ll have the opportunity to ask a Pleasure Revolutionary a question.

You will find a post that begins with ‘Ask a Pleasure Revolutionary’, where you can add your question in the comments. By adding your question to this thread, our Pleasure Revolutionaries will be able to find and respond to your question. This also makes it easy for other participants to find and learn from your inquiries and insights.

Here are the dates for you to ask our Pleasure Revolutionaries whatever you desire...
Thursdays: March 11, 18, 25, April 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29.
Fridays: March 12, 19, 26, April 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30.

Three Levels of Bootcamp

The Bootcamp homework is designed to offer you a choice in how much you want to participate, so we have designed THREE levels. Here is a description of each level of effort.

As a Level I Bootcamper
You are going to have a fabulous experience! You will be exposed to everything necessary to deeply learn and apply the Womanly Arts and all the essential tools. Your Pleasure Fitness is going to soar. If you complete all the homework at this level you will complete on average (each week) the following: 13 pages of reading, 10 assigned exercises, one hour and 45 minutes participating in the Training Call and one Practice Call. You and your Fitness Partner are likely to spend an additional 30 minutes on the phone. Whew! Believe us. Level I is more than enough to turn any woman into a hot, throbbing pleasure researcher.

Give yourself approximately 30 minutes per day to complete the assignments for the week if you are a Level I Basic Bootcamper. Consider watching the film assignment with other Sister Goddesses! And be sure to digest your experience of the homework online in the “Favorite Frames from Calls & Homework” post in the Facebook Online Community.

We recommend all Level I participants purchase your field guide for Bootcamp, Mama Gena's School of Womanly Arts by Mama G. If you already have it, FANTASTIC! If you need to order it, click here.

As a Level II Bootcamper
You will complete all of the Level I homework plus additional activities that incorporate our secondary text, The Pleasure Zone by Stella Resnick. If you complete all the homework at this level, you will add (each week) on average the following: 26 pages of reading and one more assigned exercise. Level II homework is designed to broaden your exposure to the concept of “pleasure tolerance” and some of the psychological issues that prevent us from breaking through.

If you would like to participate in Levels Two and Three, you’ll want to purchase: The Pleasure Zone by Stella Resnick. To order, click here. (Note: This book can take up to four weeks for delivery if you live outside the United States, so plan ahead!)

As a Level III Bootcamper
You will not only complete the Level I and Level II homework but now you will dig deep and reach higher through more assignments! In Level II, you read Resnick’s work; in Level III you will do some of her suggested exercises that are a FABULOUS compliment to the Tools and Arts. On average, you will add: at least six more exercises to each week in Level III. You will find all three levels of homework on your homework page every Monday morning. Simply work your way through the tiers to advance to the next Level or stay where you are!

If you would like to participate in Levels Two and Three, you’ll want to purchase: The Pleasure Zone by Stella Resnick. To order, click here. (Note: This book can take up to four weeks for delivery if you live outside the United States, so plan ahead!)

Homework Types
Bragging

The weekly homework assigns one Brag per week. That is a MINIMUM. Most women who use the Facebook Online Community, go on daily for at least 15 minutes, scanning posts, upriding their sisters (meaning acknowledging their posts or cheering them on), and/or responding to posts themselves.

How do I brag? Refer to this tool sheet for support!

Spring Cleaning

You will be assigned Spring Cleaning topics nearly every week of Bootcamp as part of your homework. We encourage you to find a Spring Cleaning partner by using the “Find a Spring Cleaning Partner” post in the Facebook Online Community, or use your Fitness Partner to complete the Spring Cleaning assignment.

How do I Spring Clean? Refer to this tool sheet for support!

Watch the how to video on Spring Cleaning.

Fitness Partner

Everyone in Bootcamp is asked to find a Fitness Partner. You do not need to know this person in advance. In fact, it will be an even better experience if you choose someone you don’t know. Fitness Partners are necessary to keep us on track with ourselves. Our sister is our witness. The weekly call is a reminder of the commitment you have made to yourself and to share the Bootcamp experience with a close ally. These relationships can be HUGE motivators. To get the most out of Bootcamp, we encourage you to find your Fitness Partner right away!

How do I find a Fitness Partner?

  1. Post your request in the “Find and Schedule a Fitness Partner” post on Facebook, someone can respond to your comment, call, or email you.
  2. Go directly to the Bootcamp Directory, in the Files section of the Facebook group, and text, email, or call another student with your request.
  3. Respond to someone’s request on the “Find and Schedule a Fitness Partner” post by replying to their comment.

What do Fitness Partners do?

  • Check in each week over the phone. Choose a time that is mutually agreeable.
  • Do one Brag, one Gratitude, and one Desire (per partner) – every time you speak.
  • Use one another as Spring Cleaning partners to Spring Clean on the assigned weekly topics or any other topic you so desire.
  • Give one another your “Victory Reports” (3–5 Favorite Frames) of how you are progressing and learning from Bootcamp. Be sure to celebrate each other’s accomplishments!
  • During this call, there is no complaining, no coaching, no putting anyone down, and no criticism of yourself or others. The goal is to flex your pleasure muscles.
Weekly themed Exercises

In VPBC, we guide participation in the Facebook group by posting specific prompts in the Discussion Feed for students to engage with. For example, once a week, we’ll post a thread that asks for “Brags” and another one for “Frames of the weekly call” – these are opportunities for you to practice the tools, report back on homework, and share the fine points of your journey with a bit of structure.

The same exercise/prompts can be found in your weekly homework workbooks.

We also use functional prompts, like “Finding a Pleasure Partner” and “Networking Wednesdays” that students can use to locate a buddy for partner assignments, and connect with other sisters in a professional context!

As a student, you will be invited to respond to these Facebook prompts in the form of a comment. You can respond once, or multiple times to the same prompt. And you can also reply to one another’s comments, which encourages dialogue! Feel free to upride and cheerlead your fellow sisters by replying to their comments within the same thread.

Each week, Monday through Friday, we will consistently post prompts at specific times for you to respond to that will remain the same throughout the eight weeks.

Watch for posts that say:

  • Finding a Spring Cleaning Partner
  • Finding and Scheduling a Bootcamp Fitness Partner
  • Networking Wednesdays
  • Ask a Pleasure Revolutionary
  • Brags, Gratitudes, and Desires: The Holy Trinity

Getting the Most Out of Virtual Pleasure Bootcamp

In order to get the full benefit of the course, it’s important that you participate in all the elements:

  • Training Calls
  • Online Community
  • Practice Calls
  • The weekly homework

Just observing the Training Calls is not enough. Remember, being a Sister Goddess is ACTIVE, not passive. Push yourself to go for it!

Online Community on Facebook

The Virtual Pleasure Bootcamp 2021 Online Community is what tethers us together. It is also the vehicle we use to practice the Tools and Arts in real time, in full view of our Sisters. Remember, we are a “community of practice.”

That is a group of like-minded individuals who have come together to change our old behavior by practicing new behavior together. It is where our practice-makes-perfect.

The Online Community is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This group will be self-regulated with the oversight of trained staff members from Mama Gena’s team.

What does that mean? It means that we trust you and your fellow Bootcamp members – along with a select number of trained staff – to be the eyes and ears of this group. To quote the New York City MTA, if you see something, say something.

Online Rules

There are rules to being a Sister Goddess, and the way we use the privileges of the Sister Goddess community has a specific structure that must be observed.

We want you to take a moment to absorb and commit yourself to these rules to make the most pleasurable use of this community.

By agreeing to this contract, I bind myself to the following rules:

  1. I pledge confidentiality. I will not reveal any of the contents of this board to non-members, nor will I speak of its contents with members outside of this space. I pledge to keep this space safe and closely knit, and to honor the privacy of all who participate with me.

  2. I pledge to Brag, to share the goodness in my life, especially my pleasurable accomplishments, in order to unearth my desires and to fan the flames of desire in other women.

  3. I pledge to give uprides to my sisters. I will be a cheerleader for them with NO criticism and NO coaching.

  4. I pledge to only use this community in a Goddessly manner, and understand that if I use the community to vent my charge on another member or relate in an un-Goddessly manner, my account will be deactivated.

  5. I pledge to hold this community as sacred space. I will not use the community for solicitation, evites, or any type of mass mailing. I pledge to use all forums for the use they are intended, and to post social and business information in the appropriate forums only.

  6. Most of all, I pledge to HAVE FUN, and to use these boards to take myself and my sisters higher.

By agreeing to these rules,  you understand that if you are in violation of any of the agreements in this pledge, you will be removed from the program.

Thank you for joining us in this sacred pledge.

Women are uniquely perceptive, and part of your journey in this course is learning to listen to those intuitive tugs that keep us alert, aware of our surroundings, and above all, safe. If you see one of the following red-flags in our Online Community, we ask that you reach out to info@mamagenas.com to let us know ASAP, so that we may address the issue accordingly:

  • Harmful language: This pertains to any commentary that could be construed as harmful to group members. Racist, agist, abelist, homophobic, xenophobic, and otherwise discriminatory language is never permitted inside our online spaces. If you see a comment that doesn’t sit well with you, for any reason, please send us a message with the name of the poster and, if possible, the date you saw the comment.

  • Promotional posts: Business promotion is prohibited under all posts other than Networking Day or in the “Pink Pages” doc of this group. All of us, regardless of location, are inundated with marketing, advertising, and mainstream media in our day-to-day lives. To prevent your sisters from feeling “sold to” please avoid linking to your business, service, or monetary offering in this group. We have a special resource for networking called the “Pink Pages”, which can be found in the Files tab of this group. Please use that channel or the Networking Day prompt to promote your business. If you see something that seems “salesy” in response to a non-networking related prompt, send us an email and we’ll make sure it lands in the right spot!

  • Charge on the program, Mama Gena, or other students: Here in VPBC, we believe in resolving conflict the right way. We do not permit students to release charge (aka anger, negativity, frustration, or abuse) on other students, on the program itself, or on Mama Gena, inside our Online Community. Why? Because it’s not an effective way to get assistance. While we always want to hear your feedback, the best place to share it with our team is over email or a phone call. Otherwise, it’s likely to get lost in the cyber cracks. Conflicts between sisters usually require a private conversation, or in some cases, mediation. So if you have a problem or concern, please get in touch directly.

  • Self-harm/emergency posts: VPBC is a safe space for women to express their emotional range. That said, it is not a substitute for mental health services. If you see a comment that alludes to self-harm of any kind, or simply leaves you questioning another sister’s wellbeing, we want to hear about it. Our staff can speak with the student individually and provide additional resources if needed. Sisterhood means looking out for each other no matter what.

We also ask that you follow these online rules when engaging as a community online.

Keeping Confidentiality

While we definitely encourage you to keep digesting your experiences from teaching calls and practice calls, we want to clarify how to speak about your experience outside of our private group.

Thank you for your help as we continue to create the safest and most sacred container for our work together.

Spaces that are considered public include:

  • Anywhere on Facebook or other social media, except for the Virtual Pleasure Bootcamp 2021 Private Group (this includes the Mama Gena's Facebook page, as well as any other Sister Goddesses groups).

  • In conversations with any person who is not enrolled in Virtual Pleasure Bootcamp 2021 (this includes friends, family, colleagues, and even SWA graduates from other years).

When you are sharing about Virtual Pleasure Bootcamp 2021 in any of the above forums, we encourage you to share about your personal experience – how you felt, the impact this work is having on your life, and general frames of what you learned. However, please do not share any specifics of the curriculum, nor any other woman's experience. For example:

  • DO: speak about how supported you felt in community, or an "aha" you had about your past, or a new insight about how you desire to move forward in your life, etc!

  • DON'T: describe or share details of any exercise taught on your calls with Mama Gena or in this Facebook group. Many of Mama Gena's exercises are best explained, understood, and experienced within the context of class, and often do not translate in a supportive way outside of that context.

  • DON'T: use any woman's name, nor share any of her personal story. This is an essential way we support each other, and ensures a safe space for every woman.

The safety and power of the Bootcamp experience is co-created by each one of us, and we are so grateful for your support. If you feel unsure of these guidelines, or have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to email us at info@mamagenas.com.

Resistance is the moment before breakthrough

Welcome to the School of Womanly Arts. This is the greatest educational system for the heart, body, mind, and soul of a woman. Every cell of your being will be impacted by this course. The School of Womanly Arts is unlike any education you have ever received. It is based on the understanding that women must practice new behaviors in community, with one another, to learn and integrate new ways of living.

You must participate in the weekly Art Live Training Calls, get online and use Facebook, and do your homework to fully benefit from the course. Sister Goddess is a verb, not a noun. You will not be saved, rescued, or get someone else to solve your challenges here. You will be taught how to take the reins of your happiness and to drive yourself and your life in the direction of your desires and joy. The result is that you walk away with more of you than when you arrived.

Plan to be uncomfortable. Your old beliefs will be challenged, you will be asked to behave in ways that feel awkward or “not you.” You may even get mad at Mama Gena or your sisters as you choose to stretch and grow outside your usual comfort zone. Your deep emotional responses are encouraged and required. In Virtual Pleasure Bootcamp, you will not turn your computer off and leave the class behind. You will be asked to take what you are learning in class and apply it to the way you live your life right now.

You may experience resistance in this program. Resistance is your best friend in Bootcamp because it tells you that you have hit an emotional speed bump that requires your pleasure-filled attention. If you are feeling resistance in Bootcamp, you are on the right track. If you aren’t, ask yourself, how am I holding back? How can I step up my involvement and participation even more?

How does resistance show up? You find yourself checking out in the Art’s Training Calls, or you arrive late, or don’t show up at all and don’t watch the recording. You don’t find time to get online and use the forums. You do very little of the homework or none at all. You have repeated intense feelings of anger, fear, or anxiety about a particular topic or person. All of these are signs of resistance. Watch for them and use the Tools and Arts to move forward.

Dealing with Emotional Charge
What to do if you have emotional charge with another student, Mama Gena, the Staff, or the School of Womanly Arts?

If you are feeling a negative emotional charge towards another student, staff, or the School itself, here is how to act responsibly: Spring Clean. Spring Cleaning is a confidential exercise. Grab a Sister Goddess and use the initials of the person with whom you have the charge instead of her name. Do 15 minutes of pulls. Repeat as necessary. Follow this with a list of gratitudes towards this person (you really won’t want to do this, but do it anyway). If your charge becomes unmanageable, contact a staff member for more suggestions. Remember, NEVER release charge on another student, staff, or the School within the Online Community. Your post will be deleted and you will receive a message from the Palace instructing you to follow the recommendations stated here. If this happens more than once, you risk being removed from the program.

IMPORTANT: You will be learning about the concept of “transparency” which means to reveal your true experience, to speak honestly, and to allow others to “see” you. This does not mean that you have been given permission to rant, vent, attack, bully, grandstand, or direct your anger, anxiety, or fear onto another human being.

You are expected to deal with your emotional charge towards another person by using the Tools. Once you have diffused your intense feelings, then you are ready to use the action of transparency. Transparency means having your feelings WITHOUT attacking and hurting another person, place, or thing.

What do you do if you’re in an emotional crisis?

The School of Womanly Arts does not provide mental health services or crisis intervention counseling. If you are in emotional crisis, please contact the appropriate resource. Below is a list of resources that we hope you’ll find helpful:

If your emotional crisis significantly interferes with your ability to participate in Bootcamp or disrupts other students, you will be asked to leave the program and encouraged to seek assistance from the appropriate resource.

Frequently Asked Questions
I am having difficulty finding a Fitness Partner and/or a Spring Cleaning Partner. What can I do?

Here are the steps to follow: post your request for a Partner as a comment in the “Find a Fitness Partner” post and/or “Find a Spring Cleaning Partner” post in the Facebook group Discussion Feed. If you have not received a response within 24 hours, go to the Class Directory. Choose five women from the directory and send them a private message on Facebook, send them an email, or call them. Ask that the person respond to you within 24 hours. Repeat as necessary.

Why didn’t a Pleasure Revolutionary answer my question?

The Pleasure Revolutionaries are available for questions on Thursdays from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. ET and Fridays from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. ET. So if your question is posted outside of those times, you will have to wait until the next “Ask A Pleasure Revolutionary” thread to participate.

The weekly Arts Training Call recordings, and the Practice Call recordings will be posted within 24 hours to the “Recordings” file in the Files tab of the VPBC 2021 Facebook group.
